From Summer Vacation to Christmas!

It's been a little while since my last post and we're already counting down the days until Christmas, can you believe it? Even though it's on the calendar every year, I always am a little suprised with how quickly this time of year pops up. It wasn't that long ago that my beautiful wife and I were driving on our Summer trip to Canada. And now here we are getting ready for the 3rd Christmas in our "new" home. It's still new to us even though we've lived there for almost 2 years. I guess it will be that way for a few more years, at least until we've paid off more of the principle on the mortgage! :)

I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and the true meaning of the holiday touches the heart of even the most ardent non-believers. It's always sad to see how many people just don't want to accept what this holiday is all about. But, please remember that the reason we celebrate Christmas is not for presents and parties, it's to honor the birth of our Lord and Savior! One church in our neighborhood has a marquee that asks the question "If you were brought up on charges of being a Christian, what evidence would be presented?" I may not have the exact terminology correct but the meaning is pretty clear, what things have you done to show that you are a Christian. This is something to think about not just at Christmastime but all through the year. With that being said, this is a great time to get together with family and enjoy LIFE! Be happy, rejoice and have a Merry Christmas!

Amen, Frank. And it's true, so many people nowadays focus on the presents & parties and not about what this season is really about. Thanks for reminding us :)
